Buffalo joins SSD game with SHD-NSU2 series

Buffalo has today announced the SHD-NSU2, a new range of SSDs outfitted with all the trimmings of a modern solid state disk.

Arriving in 32GB, 64GB, 128GB and 256GB flavors, Buffalo’s lineup offers ATA TRIM support, a SATA 3.0Gbps interface, 64MB cache and read speeds up to 175MB/s, likely indicating an Indilinx Barefoot NAND controller.

Buffalo is also providing a free copy of Acronis’ True Image HD hard disk imaging software, which is highly regarded for its ease of use and its thorough set of features.

The new disks will initially retail for $157 to $845 in Japan starting this April, though a stateside appearance is expected not long after.
