Capcom announces new Bionic Commando game

This is very exciting news to any old school NES gamer who absolutely loved Bionic Commando back in the day.

For those not in the know (such as Keebler), Bionic Commando was a game that put you in the role of a supersoldier with a Bionic Arm that could shoot out a grappling hook, allowing you to swing, grapple, and grab stuff. The story was quite advanced for a game from that era – a supersecret project to revive Hitler and re-establish the Third Reich is exposed and it is up to the Bionic Commando to stop it and make things right.

Of course, the new game will receive next gen “shiny” treatment. From top-notch voice acting (provided by none other than Mike Patton – former lead singer of many bands including Faith No More, Mr. Bungle, and Fantomas), advanced physics and 3D graphics, I’m willing to bet that this will be a bestseller.

Music/Game geek trivia: Mike Patton recently did the voice of the “Angry Sphere” (the red one) from Portal’s “GLaDOS”. He is somewhat famous for his ability to create monstrous noises without technological enhancement. He made a whole concept album of noise called “Pranzo Oltranzista”.
