Celebrate Gordon Freeman with 55.8% off

Gordon-FreemanGamespot’s ‘Greatest Videogame Hero of All Time’ contest has concluded, and after the dust settled there was only one hero left standing, and that hero was the free man. Gordon Freeman, the mute protagonist from the venerable Half-Life franchise took the cake (it’s a lie, etc.) and came out the victor. Despite some Internet Hate Machine related shenanegans, (Bub and Bob beating Master Chief? Good work!) the final battle between Gordon Freeman and Mario was a bitter struggle that went back and forth at a brutal pace. Now that their man has won the contest, Valve are celebrating with a Steam sale!

Valve published a notice on the Steampowered website that to celebrate Gordon’s victory with 55.8% of the votes, all Half-Life related games are on sale for 55.8% off. You’ll find Half-Life 2 for $8.79, Half-Life for $4.39, and many other incredible deals. Strangely, this sale does not apply to The Orange box, Valve Complete Pack, and more obviously Portal and Left4Dead.

Cheap Half-Life for everyone! Break out the credit cards and get to it!

    My favorite line in this series. I bet the kid that wrote the original fanfic thought that line was an incredible, deep piece of literature.

    I forgot about the 'turning off the computer' bit. They way they animated that makes me literally LOL every single time.

    It's hilarious in part 1 as well.
