Robert and I just got back from the OCZ party at the Bellagio. From the sweet suite we had a great view of The Strip and the hotel’s famous fountains. Friends and colleagues from around the world were there, and the Icrontic crew had an excellent time meeting them all. OCZ kept the refreshments flowing while patrons mingled and special guest Fatal1ty fragged all comers in Quake 4. Big ups to OCZ for throwing a sweet shindig.
We’ve made contact today with more companies than expected, and we’ve only just started. Highlights include an awesome 1TB SSD we stumbled upon, a great demo of Boxee, some sweet programs for media, and nice desktop tower from HEC. There are a ton of bizarre things here too. Lian Li tops it with the PC-888 case. It’s a blue monolith that costs $640 if we understand right.
The wireless here at our hotel is terribad, so photos will come first thing in the a.m. when we can get back to the press lounge. Our first year of CES is a HUGE learning experience.
It’s time for me to crash, though. First thing tomorrow morning, I’m checking out a racing simulator and I wanna be up on my game. Prime set the high score at Microsoft’s Guitar Hero setup today, and I wanna wreck some hot laps in whatever they throw at me. Icrontic REPRESENT!
