Fans of the PC game Enclave, take heed! TopWare Interactive has been hard at work, re-imagining the game and giving it an overhaul. Now titled Enclave: Shadows of Twilight, the new game will be released for the Wii this coming June.
Enclave was a hack-and-slash game built for the PC, featuring epic battles between humans, orcs, elves, and many other Tolkien-esque fantasy critters. Brought back from the depths and given a spit-shine polish, TopWare intends on giving the game franchise a second wind on the Wii. Touted improvements include retinkered AI, renovated game systems, and of course, Wii Remote functionality. TopWare has also launched a teaser website with a little more information about the upcoming game.
Enclave: Shadows of Twilight at first sounds like your typical hack-and-slash RPG game, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. It has all the workings of a fun, bloodlust-fueled romp against enemy armies while plundering mountains of loot. Enemies jump through windows, walls will collapse to release a flood of enemies just waiting to be mopped up, and up to 12 hero types can be activated to fight for either the Light or the Dark factions.
Enclave will also be sprinkled with some other nice surprises. Puzzles for opening doors and activating various switches will be laid out to break up the action. Glorious boss battles are promised to give some real challenge to would-be heroes. And finally, the Wii Remote motion controls for swordplay should make the game an interesting one to try.
Look for Enclave: Shadows of Twilight in stores in mid-June.
