The L4D team released interesting news last week on their blog about an upcoming DLC pack. Map maker Matthew Lourdelet, creator of 2 Evil Eyes, is back at it with a new campaign for L4D2. After approaching the L4D team with “Cold Stream”, a decision was made to get the community involved to help finish it up.
Departing from traditional “story driven” maps like The Sacrifice and The Passing, the team is asking for help creating anything but. The DLC’s newly created forums are quickly filling with suggestions, so make sure you head on over and give your two cents.
As expected, they’re remaining tight lipped as to when it will be released. For now, “sometime after” Portal 2 is all we’re getting—good old Valve Time. Updates on player experience, testing and data collection will be released in the upcoming weeks on the blog.
…Oh, I forgot to mention, the team stated they will be adding the remaining campaigns from L4D1 as an added bonus.
