I have to admit that this is a direction I could not have predicted. Nostalgia gaming is in high gear lately. Wii Virtual Console has brought back tons of classic games, Sega has released a huge compilation of Genesis games for PS3, and now Nintendo has begun delving into classic 8-bit computer gaming by bringing three Commodore 64 classics to Wii Virtual Console with The Last Ninja, International Karate, and Pitstop II.
There is a huge wealth of excellent 8-bit computer games to be mined, now that the subject has been broached. I’d love to see Karateka, Lode Runner, Droll, the “Gold Box” SSI D&D games, and most especially, Alternate Reality.
