Verizon CEO Ivan Seidenberg on Tuesday commented on a recent Wall Street Journal report that Verizon Wireless will soon carry Apple’s iPhone on the company’s robust 3G network.

According to reports, Seidenberg said during comments before the Council on Foreign Relations that his firm has told Apple that it wants to carry the sensationally popular handset. photodude I've heard rumors that Verizon will announce the availability of the iPhone in the next "week" slated for rumored release of the CDMA version of the iPhone in June with the mass production come Fall. The rumor also included the possibility of sprint carrying the iPhone.

If such rumors are true we have to wonder about a CDMA version of the iPad for Verizon as well.
