Updates for the Cryfans out there, EA announced a demo will be released for the sci-fi shooter on March 1st. Two maps will be available to try out: Skyline and Pier 17. The former will take place on (and in) a Manhattan rooftop environment while the latter will opt to show more of an open area with limited cover. The two maps should demand and highlight very contrasting strategies to use in the nanosuits. The demo will have two 6v6 multiplayer modes—a take on team deathmatch and conquest game modes called Team Instant Action and Crash Site. The full game will have six gameplay modes and 12 maps.
While it’s sad that this has actually become newsworthy (thanks, Activision), EA has announced that Crysis 2 will support dedicated multiplay servers. A complete listing is up on the Crysis 2 blog.
