Crytek today revealed some small details and two screenshots from its first online FPS, “Warface”.
Warface is a near-future military FPS built on Crytek’s CryENGINE® 3, which means it will of course push the boundary of hardware performance (perhaps the new question will be “Will it play Warface?”) The press release mentions multiplayer PvE co-op missions, as well as a full set of class-based PvP.
The game will be PC only, and is being developed by Crytek Seoul, and will focus primarily on Korean and other Asian markets. In addition, it will be free-to-play.
There is really no word on what exactly will make it “primarily” for Asian markets, but free-to-play is a big one. There is also no word on release date yet.
