Direct2Drive turns 5, basically gives games away

Icrontic community member Sir Candle pointed me to this awesome deal. Digital download vendor Direct2Drive is celebrating their fifth anniversary by offering several titles for $5 each.

The current group consists of Neverwinter Nights 2, Assassin’s Creed Director’s Cut, Titan Quest, Grand Theft Auto Vice City, and more. Each week they’ll be changing up the list.

While some of the titles are the same that you’d find in the bargain bin at your local office supply store, some of them are still current games that are definitely worth picking up for $5 if you happened to miss them.

  1. Thrax
Thrax Direct2Drive is also very easy to use. I bought NWN2 and NWN2's first expansion pack from them about 18 months ago, and it was a total breeze.

    Would buy again. A++++.
  2. TiberiusLazarus
TiberiusLazarus Saw this last week. Picked up Civilization 4 then, and Koreish just got Titan Quest yesterday. Good service all around.

ardichoke Holy crap... I've been meaning to play NWN2 and Assassin's Creed. This is like a sign from the computing overlords that I'm meant to.
  4. chrisWhite
chrisWhite I have an undying love for Assassin's Creed
  5. ledbetter
ledbetter Nothing but good things to say about D2D. More than 3 years after "losing" Pirates on my old PC, I was able to download and reinstall without any issues and without any cost. Just imagine trying to pull that off at Gamestop. ;D

Yes, they'll be getting more of my money this weekend.

jokerz4fun Holy CRAP!! I LOVE YOU!!!
  7. TiberiusLazarus
TiberiusLazarus In case you've missed it, the next round of games is up with the genre of Indie games: http://www.direct2drive.com/d2dturns5

This includes some awesome games like Mount & Blade and Defense Grid. Both well worth way more than 5 bucks.
  8. Cliff_Forster
Cliff_Forster Wow, World of Goo for $5, that's nice!
  9. ardichoke
ardichoke The Path is well worth getting imo. It's not a very fast moving game (in fact, it's rather slow) but it's a very artistic and extremely well done take on Little Red Riding Hood. I really enjoyed the fact that the only way to "lose" the game is to do what you're told to.
