Divinity II preorder program begins

DivinityII_boxLarian Studios, creators of  Divinity II: Ego Draconis, the sequel to the relatively mediocre Divine Divinity, have launched a pre-order campaign for the upcoming action RPG, along with a new gameplay video.

Icrontic’s CB Droege got a close look at Divinity II: Ego Draconis at E3 2009 and came away impressed with the changes they’ve made—and this was a reviewer that was somewhat unkind to the first game. The press release claims over 60 hours gameplay, but some of the obvious improvements are a full 3D engine and pretty neat looking combat.

Those who pre-order Divinity II: Ego Draconis from Gamespot will get an exclusive in-game armor and weapon set called “Blood Echelon”.

TiberiusLazarus I'm...I'm freaking speechless. This looks absolutely awesome. Definitely going to be keeping tabs on this game. Might even pre-order it.

lordbean That definitely looks interesting. I'll have to keep my eye on that one.

sharkydart Wow! They go from a poor Diablo knock-off to taking dungeon crawls off of the ground... I will also be paying attention to where this is going.

TiberiusLazarus For those that are interested and have missed it, there was a demo released on the 21st.

Haven't tried it myself, as I just found it, but I will be taking a look hopefully soon.

kryyst The demo is also out on Xbox Live now. Sounds interesting but I have a feeling the moral choices they imply will not be as impact-full as they suggest. In much the same way that Dragon Age's lack of alignment or dialogue paths really made any difference at all.
