Dreamcast Collection is not that impressive

Dreamcast Collection is not that impressive

SEGA recently announced the release of the Dreamcast Collection. This may excite some people, especially since they will enhance the graphics for both the Xbox 360 and PC, but the downside may very well be the list of included games:

  • Sonic Adventure
  • Crazy Taxi
  • SEGA Bass Fishing
  • Space Channel 5

I am not saying that the list is a bad thing—hell, Crazy Taxi is on the list. But I am sure SEGA could have put together a better list. Where’s Jet Grind Radio? How about Shenmue? Ecco? Perhaps they’re saving up for a second release.

The Collection is available on February 22, 2011 for Xbox 360 and PC.

Bandrik Hey, it's a start in the right direction. Plus, the boost in resolution is a nice advantage. I missed the Dreamcast, and thus missed out on its library, so this is a good thing for me... assuming they keep the game prices reasonable.

tmh88 I never owned a Dreamcast or played with one much so I don't feel any nostaligia towards this pack. However, I did love Jet Set Radio future for Xbox, so I guess I am disappointed I won't be playing that on 360.
  3. Overfiend Its just a pity the resolution doesn't go above 1280x720 @ least for Sonic Adventure. Haven't tried the rest yet. Sega Bass Fishing I won't even look @ and Space Channel 5 I'm not bothered with. I'd like to see Shenmue, the never released Propeller Arena and the awesome REZ. There are bucket loads more too I'd love to see.
