European PSP Go price drop…. already?

European PSP Go price drop…. already?

PSP_WhatEurogamer has reported, and Icrontic has confirmed, that the PSP Go, which was only launched five days ago, has already undergone a price drop in Europe, from £249.99 to £199.99, as seen at Amazon.co.uk.

Why so soon? By most accounts, the PSP Go was a bit of a failure at launch due to the shockingly high price. Was consumer outcry so bad that Sony had to drop the price so quickly? Can a US price drop be far behind?

Shorty The price was too high and well, the reviews across the Euro/UK press has been a resounding "why bother?". It's not selling well here at all.

kryyst It's not selling where anywhere that I've shopped. There are boxes of them in every store I've been into. People just don't seem to care for a device that they get to pay content for that they never actually get to own.
