First Left 4 Dead 2 DLC announced

feature

The first in DLC for Left 4Dead 2 has been announced today—”The Passing”, which promises to be the most compelling and important campaign to date, will bring the survivors from Left 4 Dead (Bill, Louis, Zoe and Francis) down South to meet the newcomers featured in the sequel.  In addition to a new co-operative campaign and the associated narrative, “The Passing” will include new arenas for Survival, Versus and Scavenge mode and introduce a new co-operative challenge mode of play.  “The Passing” will also feature a new “uncommon common” zombie class, melee weapon, and firearms.

“The Passing will become the most important campaign in the Left 4 Dead story, as all the Survivors are being called together in one campaign,” said Doug Lombardi, VP of Marketing at Valve. “It will also be a huge offering of new gameplay content, with something new for every game mode plus a new uncommon common and weaponry.”

“The Passing” is scheduled for release in early Spring exclusively on the Xbox 360 and PC—pricing will be released closer to launch.

Winfrey I really hope Valve sticks to their DLC for free policy on the PC.

I am happy the characters from the first game are getting into the second. Zoey and the gang are my favs.
