The Game Audio Network Guild (G.A.N.G.) has announced the winners of the 8th Annual G.A.N.G. Awards at a ceremony held at the Moscone Center in San Francisco to honor outstanding creative, technical and artistic audio achievement in the world of interactive entertainment.
G.A.N.G. is a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement and recognition of game audio, by providing information, instruction, resources, guidance and enlightenment to its members, content providers, and listeners throughout the world.
Voted and judged upon by the game audio industry and members of G.A.N.G., the winners represent the best in game audio for 2009. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves led the night with 9 nominations and 6 wins including “Audio of the Year”.
Game industry veteran Charles Deenen was honored by receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award for his work over the past 25 years.
