Google has launched a Chile person finder in response to the earthquake in the South American country. A massive earthquake rocked Chile this morning, measuring 8.8 and killing at least 214 people. Aftershocks have continued to rock the country and the surrounding area, and the shock triggered a tsunami that hit Hawaii. Luckily, no one there has been reported hurt since a warning was sent out early enough, but many people in Chile are missing.
In response to this, Google’s person finder site allows users to either post that they are looking for someone or that they have information about someone. Google launched a similar site after the Haiti earthquake from a month ago.
Anyone with news on missing loved ones or who are looking for someone should report to the site and post what they know. We wish good luck to anyone missing someone, and hope that all will be found.
