Google Maps Streetview used in kidnapping case

google_gApparently, Google Maps Streetview isn’t just for figuring out what the dinner looks like that is located on the corner of 4th and E streets.

Streetview was recently used by authorities in tandem with cellphone GPS technology. Two officers used the technological dynamic duo to pinpoint probable locations of a young girl abducted by her grandmother.

Nice to see technology used for good, not evil.

    If you believe the FBI agents on Without a Trace, kidnappings are usually perpetrated by family members (most often a parent). Ironically, as much as they say that in the show, it almost never happens for their cases.
