    photodude That is a sad business card reader. Still nice that they add a special slot to line things up. I wonder if you could just hold the card in front of the camera and use the enter key to take the image and get better results. (I did read that it need lots of light http://www.hp.com/sbso/solutions/pc_expertise/professional_innovations/professional-innovations-cardreader.pdf )

    I think I would invest in a third party business card scanner with OCR. There are some that will also scan receipts. Especially considering the challenges you have experienced.

  2. Kristina Simpson Hi PhotoDude. The instructions in the PDF you reference are definitely the ideal way for using the card reader feature. To get the best results possible, the notebook should be in a brightly lit room while performing the action.
