HTC confirmed this week that the Windows Mobile-powered HD2 handset will receive a boost in specifications in time for its US debut.
The trio of improvements come for the device’s various memory stores: 1GB ROM (up from 512MB), 576MB RAM (up from 448MB) and a 16GB class 2 microSD card (up from 2GB). With a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU, a 480×800 4.3″ screen and HTC’s lauded Sense UI, these memory enhancements are solid improvements to what is already the world’s most robust Windows Mobile phone.
Other specifications for the HD2 include an tri-band 900/1700/2100MHz UMTS radio, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, 802.11b/g, a 5MP camera with LED flash and an FM radio.
Though a precise date for the device’s launch has not been set, the HD2 will debut this spring on T-Mobile.
