Imagine what could have been—DPad Hero for NES

If this game had existed in the early 90s, by the gods this game would have been an incredible smash hit.

The industriousness and creativity behind such a project defies description. I’d rather leave it at: if you know, you know.

Here’s the thing: It’s a real game. They made this. You can download it and play it on any NES emulator.

The lost 12 year old inside of me weeps for what could have been, but the gleeful 12 year old inside of me is in wonderment at what is now possible.

And just imagine, how much BETTER we would be at rhythm games today if this had existed.

5 Feb 2009 ~ 4:10pm Chris White I'm with Lynx, I would have played this constantly, in fact, I almost want to play it right now, but maybe that's just because of the great remix of that song.

We might be better at rhythm games but imagine how much more interesting rhythm games might be right now if it had all started with this back on the NES

QFT. The advancements 20 years could have added to the genre would probably have been remarkable.
