Intel makes the pitch for x86

The Intel Developer (IDF) has entered its second day, and Intel has been hitting the value of x86 hard and fast. While the highlight of the show has been a demonstration of the post-Atom Moorestown, Intel has been talking up the “full internet experience.”

Leveraging the power of the x86 platform, companies and programmers can be free to create applications in a familiar environment. Rather than learning a unique and obtuse architecture (ARM), developers are already prepared to code on x86 and need only learn the appropriate language be it Java or .NET.
