Word on the street is that a Brazilian journalist has confirmed that Intel is set to drop the “Duo” suffix from its Core 2 line, in addition to sundry other model name revamps. In theory, the unwashed masses will be left at the mercy of their local box-pusher to give them the scoop on dual or quad status.
The water looks mighty muddy to this observer. But, it’s also just a rumour.
