In the second half of 2008, Intel will introduce the Montevina mobile platform. It mates the Cantiga chipset with a mobile Penryn. Apple, somehow, managed to convince Apple to release a Merom in the mobile Penryn’s 22mm x 22mm package, the package slated for Montevina. It’s a tremendous feat on Apple’s part to eke this out of Intel, and makes for a unique read.
