Apple today announced that the international release of the iPad has been pushed to the end of May due to higher than expected demand in the US. Apple has already sold 500,000 units in the US, and they expect that they will sell many more “as more people see and touch an iPad.”
The international community will now have to wait until 10 May to begin ordering their iPads, and will not begin receiving them until the end of May. According to Apple, international customers will be disappointed, but also happy that the iPad is doing so well in the US.
