ArsTechnica interviewed a few members of the fan translation team that is responsible for the English translation of Mother 3. This was really a labor of love for these guys, as the technical details of what goes into a localization are pretty spectacular. Even if you’re not a gamer or have no interest in Mother 3 (It was called Earthbound in North America), this is still an interesting read.
