KDE 4.1 is out

KDE 4.1 is out now, and has brought back some of the robust features 3.5 had but users found missing in 4.0.

KDE 4.1 is the first KDE4 release to contain the Personal Information Management suite KDE-PIM with its E-Mail client KMail, the planner KOrganizer, Akregator, the RSS feed reader, KNode, the newsgroup reader and many more components integrated into the Kontact shell. Furthermore, the new desktop shell Plasma, introduced in KDE 4.0, has matured to the point where it can replace the KDE 3 shell for most casual users.

The images sure make it look tasty, and functional too.

  1. GnomeWizardd
GnomeWizardd I swear if it was as easy to install as windows Id give it a shot
  2. Snarkasm
Snarkasm I'm just not a fan of the design, never have been. The polish looks very nice, but the interface in general still doesn't do it for me.
  3. kryyst
kryyst It looks pretty I'll give them that. But I probably will wait until it's part of Kubuntu before I bother.
