Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light screens and art revealed

Tomb Raider is one of those franchises that has a storied history in gaming, most notably for the game’s protagonist Lara Croft—made famous by her two large, magnificently voluptuous, and superbly detailed Magnum pistols. Though she’s seen some particularly bad titles in the last decade, Lara Croft seems to be making a comeback in recent years. To continue this trend, Crystal Dynamics is working on a new entry to the series titled Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light. New media for the game was released today, which can be seen below.

Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light chronicles a new adventure for Lara as she discovers the long lost Temple of Light in the mountains of Central America. An evil spirit, who wishes to plunge the Earth into eternal darkness, is accidentally freed. Lara teams up with a local Mayan tribesman named Totec to locate and aquire the Mirror of Smoke and save the planet from the dark rule of the evil spirit.

The game will be the first downloadable game from Crystal Dynamics. It is played from an isometric perspective, and it will support two player co-op play. The game will feature a classic mix of combat, platforming, and puzzle solving.

Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light will be released on Xbox Live Arcade, Playstation Network, and on the PC sometime this Summer.

Winfrey She is most definitely not "revealed" in this article, FALSE ADVERTISING. :P

I like this take on the series though. The isometric perspective should be a breath of fresh air for Tomb Raider fans.
