Lars Ulrich pirates his own album

Almost a full decade after killing Napster and jumpstarting the piracy war in America, Lars Ulrich pirates his own album and says that piracy and leaking is “just how it is.”

Myrmidon So he finally ran out of fans and decided this was the only way metallica was going to get publicity for their new stuff, huh?

I don't buy organic food, but I DO try to stick with non-RIAA albums. http://www.riaaradar.com/

Linc Pretty much hilarious. And sad.

Thanks, I can see myself using this.

_k It took him 30 minutes to dl one album, he needs to use his money to buy a bigger pipe.

floppybootstomp I just read the article and it seems Lars was sharing a bottle of wine with six other geezers.

That works out to less than than half a glass each.

You stingy git Lars, all that money, buy some more wine for your friends, you tightass :D

Truth is, Metallica haven't made a good album since 1991, so everybody tries before buying now, lol

Some good individual tracks since then, agreed, but not one consistently good album.

Death Magnetic came close but was still no cigar compared to the black album.

Did I ever tell my Metallicas story? :D Circa 1982/83? No? Yes? Oh well, won't bore youse all ;)
  7. Linc
Linc An '83 Metallica story? That's the year I was born, sir! ;D

pigflipper Good to see ya around Floppy, and as always, my view mirrors your own.

Shorty Floppy... tell us the story!

.. and yes. It's time he realised how easy it really is. Half an hour seems long to download an album in this age.

Music needs a new business model. NOW.
