Left 4 Dead 2 50% off March 23rd-25th, announces new DLC “The Passing”

Valve today couched an announcement of new DLC called “The Passing” in a midweek madness sale of 50% off Left 4 Dead 2. The Passing includes:

A Wicked Witch Bride!
A Gargantuan M60!
A Slashing Golf Club!
And Introducing The Fallen Survivor!
Meet 3 Left 4 Dead 1 Survivors!
New Game Modes!

“The Passing” is the DLC that finally brings together the original survivors from Left 4 Dead (Well, three of them) with the new upstarts from Left 4 Dead 2. The Passing comes out “this spring”.

Head on over to Steam to grab your 50% off Left 4 Dead 2 if you don’t already own it. Additional savings can be found through ordering a four pack.

Now is a good time to get L4D2 for PC, especially since the DLC for consoles will likely not be free.

For those who are out of the loop, both Left 4 Dead games are getting a piece of DLC each that will link the two games. The Passing comes first (should be in the next month or two, free for PC and ~560ish points for 360 I think), followed by a comic (I don't know if it's printed or digital) and then finally the Left 4 Dead 1 DLC.

The Left 4 Dead 2 DLC has new game modes, a new campaign, a new special infected type, new weapons - It seems more like an expansion than a piece of DLC.

I won't spoil it for anyone, as the information is out there for people who want to read it. I use Left 4 Dead 411 a lot for this info.
