Left 4 Dead Survival Pack announced

Valve does it again—free content that significantly expands an existing game. Where other developers are charging us $5.00 for a new texture or model, Valve gives us an entirely new game mode for nothing.

The Survival Pack is an update which includes the all new Survival Mode as well as two complete campaigns for Versus mode. In addition, industrious modders will now get access to the Left 4 Dead SDK which will help authors get their custom maps and modes available to public servers.

Speculation on the details of Survival mode is running high on the L4D forums, but no official word from Valve yet.

Release date will be on Valve Time.
