Tweet2Post is a new WordPress plugin I made so Icrontic authors can post via Twitter by using the “ictalk” hashtag.

    UPSLynx Impressive. Most impressive.

    Good work Linc!

Garg Awesome! But do all tweets belong on the front page? Maybe tweets would be more appropriate as forum or ticker posts of some kind.

No, hence the qualifiers "Icrontic authors" and "using a hashtag" :p

Garg Oops, didn't see the "authors" bit.

While I've got your attention, could you add a space between the author name and the content on the front page?
  8. Linc
Linc Yeah, it only monitors the users I select, and it only posts the tweet when you put #ictalk in the post.

    Good bug catch. Fixed it.

Jason I don't know what this means, but it sounds awesome! Great job, Matt!

MachineDog I'd think it'd be better to keep articles on the front page and have tweets go to the Icrontic Ticker. In addition, are you going to share the plugin?

At some point, yes. Right now there's some hackery involved; I hard-coded in the authors rather than taking the time to let you assign users to each Twitter feed in the admin panel.

I figured as much, I'd have done the same thing. Also I imagine adding a setting for the hashtag would need to be done as well, of course.

No, there's already admin options for the hashtag and which feeds to monitor. It's just the Twitter name -> Wordpress name conversion that's hard-coded.

Annes This is awesome, Lincoln! High fives all around!
