Capcom’s grand-scale third person shooter, Lost Planet 2 is now available in stores for both North American and European audiences. As a sequel to Lost Planet: Extreme Condition, the second iteration has a strong push for multiplayer support.
Lost Planet 2 has multiple multiplayer modes, ranging from 2-player co-op to 16-player skirmishes. The featured campaign mode offers support for up to four players online, as well as a two-player split-screen mode for local players to enjoy. In every game mode, including the 16-player online multiplayer, players can customize their characters with weapon upgrades, various abilities, various taunts, and character parts.
Another feature in Lost Planet 2 is the return of the robotic Vital Suits. Meant to bring a feeling of raw firepower, the Vital Suits offer the variety needed to spice up missions. Some even allow multiple players to all jump into the same Suit for crazy co-op scenarios.
Lost Planet 2 was created by Resident Evil 5 producer Jun Takeuchi, and is available for both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 systems.
