Capcom decided to spring a nice surprise on everyone in the fighting world. They will be releasing Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds on February 15, 2011 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in North America. For the European crowd, you will have to wait till February 18, 2011 for the game to drop.
A Special Edition was also revealed. For only $10 more you will be able to unlock two playable characters: Resident Evil heroine Jill Valentine, and the one-eyed tentacle monster, Shuma Gorath.
Everything else you w ill get in the Special Edition:
- Steelbook case featuring exclusive art work
- Comic/Art book – A 12-page prologue comic, writen by Marvel writer Frank Tieri, plus campaign art and a curated selection of fan art.
- 1-month Subscription to Marvel Digital Comics, providing unlimited online access to Marvel content.

This is really exciting for someone who is a huge fan of fighting games. I will be heading to the local game store and reserving the game. Do I think the Special Edition is worth it? Maybe, considering that you do get two playable characters off the bat. Expect to see it on either PSN or XBL when the game drops on February 15.
