McDonalds to drive-through eaters: GTFO

McDonalds to drive-through eaters: GTFO

The Guardian reports that the lot management company for McDonlads in the UK is now using license plate cameras to time how long vehicles stay in the parking lot.

Stay over 45 minutes, and slow eaters are fined 125 pounds (about 250 US dollars) per instance. Of course, when slow eaters receive the fine in the mail, the company offers to lower the fine to 75 pounds (about 125 dollars) if payment is sent immediately.

People who decide to contest the fines or to ignored them are subject to increasing fine amounts, collection agency referrals, and being ordered to court.

the_technocrat I dunno, without London's traffic problems, I think we eat on the go. Also, I don't know about anywhere else, but I haven't seen too many McDonalds around here where you have any choice but to re-enter the roadway coming out of the drive-thru.
