In Create, players can explore an artistic world with basic controls, solving puzzles and designing new levels. The more they do, the more is unlocked for them to work with. The game is being marketed as something for the whole family to play together. With lots of activities to participate in and a huge set of objects to work with, the material should last any group quite some time.
Mario v. Donkey Kong: Mini-land Mayhem!
Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Mini-land Mayhem! is the new Mario puzzle game. Use the mini-Marios to solve over 200 new puzzles with a theme park, erm, theme, and rescue Pauline. This latest iteration in the franchise also comes with a level-editor and the ability to allow users to share custom levels over the WiiWare network, providing a limitless supply of poorly thought-out content, once the good stuff is gone.
Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood
The Icrontic Spotlight this week glints along the poisoned tip of Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, which returns players to the hypno-illusion-chamber thingy as Ezio, the protagonist of Assassin’s creed II. This time the assassination missions will be mixed with some different type of challenges from the first two games. Ezio takes control of the Assassins, and must manage the group by recruiting new members, then overseeing their training and deployment. In addition, Leonardo da Vinci arrives to outfit Ezio with fantastic versions of some of his more outlandish designs, which lead to mini-game-syle missions with vehicles and devices of serious destructive power, like a wooden tank armed with explosive rounds. Along with the addition of an arsenal of new assassin’s tools, and a new multi-player mode featuring a wide array of characters to choose from, there seems to be plenty new stuff here to satisfy fans of the series.
