New Releases for The Week of the Machine Inside

New Releases for The Week of the Machine Inside

There’s only one game to take a particularly close look at this week. Binary Domain is a squad-based first-person shooter set on a future earth in which an evil corporation has begun producing robots which think they are people. The robots are dangerous, and the World Court has ordered the corporation be taken down. Of course, with a robot army, it’s going to be tough to get in and close the place. The player controls a small squad of humans who have been sent to a Tokyo to do the job. They will have to figure out who is who, and take out the bot. Careful planning will be the major challenge. The game’s features include a system of procedural damage, in which each enemy responds directly to the type of damage which has been done to them; a ‘consequence system’ which changes the outcome of the story with each decision the player makes; an extensive weapon mod and skill system; and a few multi-player modes. Fans of Rainbow Six games that prefer a more science fiction setting and story might want to give this one a try.
