Nexus One boot animation revealed

Nexus One boot animation revealed

It didn’t take long, but the Android 2.1 build exclusive to the Google Nexus One was leaked to the Internet today. In addition to receiving a quick’n’dirty port to the Motorola Droid (WARNING: Bugs ahead), the Nexus One’s boot animation was pulled from the ROM and can be seen below.

It remains to be seen if this animation will be featured on all devices that eventually come to run Android 2.1 (Flan), but it does seem fittingly nexus-y for Google’s first skin-job.

UPDATE (15 December, 2009, 1:10 AM EDT):

We’ve uncovered a video which shows the boot animation on a Motorola Droid, confirming that at least someone has had the testicular fortitude required to try a beta build of Android on the world’s finest Android handset:

I take issue to the 'world's finest Android handset' note. The lack of AMOLED and the addition of Verizon's rapacious data plan pricing are some pretty big setbacks.

That being said: That animation is pretty slick, and I'm looking forward to getting 2.x in some form on my Moment early next year.

I was talking about the Droid, not the Nexus One. It's GSM, so it can at least be used on more than one network in the US.

NiGHTS RTFA indeed, sorry about that.
