Nintendo released news today about their upcoming promotion for Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies. Nintendo will be having live events and demos across the U.S. celebrating the game starting July 31st. Users will use the “Tag Mode” to connect with other players and get downloadable treasure maps by bringing their Nintendo DS and Dragon Quest IX game card to events.
On the start date, GameStop stores will host guided demos of the game, and players will be able to get a special treasure map called “Zoma.” On August 7th, Best Buy will also have guided demos, with access to the “Estark,” treasure map.
Then, from August 7th through September 19th, weekend events will happen at malls around the country, allowing players to try out the customization options and multiplayer. These players will get the “Malroth” map.
Players will be able to access these maps by going to the Quester’s Rest Inn inside of the game and speaking to Errin.
