Since we’re on the topic of gaming conventions, let’s talk about MAGFest for a moment, and their kind-of-a-big-deal headliner band. MAGFest is having their 10th annual video gaming and music convention in Maryland this year and they announced today that the famous composer of the Final Fantasy soundtrack, Nobuo Uematsu, will be performing along with his band Earthbound Papas.

WASHINGTON, DC — NOVEMBER 4, 2011 — MAGFest, The Music And Gaming Festival, is proud to announce Nobuo Uematsu and EARTHBOUND PAPAS as guests at the next upcoming MAGFest, January 5-8, 2012, in National Harbor, MD. Nobuo Uematsu is best known for being the primary composer for the Final Fantasy series of video games. Uematsu’s band, EARTHBOUND PAPAS, will be performing new originals as well as arrangements of Uematsu classics in their second American performance to date. EARTHBOUND PAPAS features a line up of talented musicians, many of which are former members of Uematsu’s previous band, The Black Mages.
In addition to Nobuo Uematsu and EARTHBOUND PAPAS, MAGFest attendees can expect to see a huge lineup of guests and bands.
