Yesterday NVIDIA released their latest WHQL-certified drivers for their cards with version 270.61. From the press release:

The first release in the 270 range of NVIDIA® drivers includes performance improvements of up to 19% in SLI systems and 13% in single-card systems, and improvements of up to 367% in 3D Vision Surround games.

We’ve also included new SLI and 3D Vision profiles, numerous bug fixes and tweaks, have integrated the 3D Vision driver with the GPU driver, meaning only one download is now required, and have launched the NVIDIA Update application, a discrete tool that immediately notifies you of new driver releases and allows you to download said drivers direct to your desktop.

Bug fixes include:

  • Fixed problem with 3DTV Play enabled software license not working properly.
  • Fixed problem with Blu-ray 3D playback sometimes not working on HDMI 1.4 3D TVs.
  • Updated control panel to remove option “Show only installed games” on the 3D Vision View Compatibility Control Panel.
  • Fixed multiple games have one lens working, other lens not working.
  • Fixed issue with red warning messages appearing when running 3D Vision window mode with Aero on.
  • Fixed problem with monitor brightness decreasing when 2D refresh rate is changed to 100/110/120Hz from another mode.
  • Fixed problem with monitors brightness be locked at 100% after exiting a 3D application and running 2D.

You can download the 270.61 drivers from NVIDIA.

Thrax Is 367% a typo? LOL.
  2. Tushon
Tushon Nah. It just got THAT MUCH BETTER. Some of those numbers are pretty crazy (too bad they are for 580s).

Edit: also, exiting instead of existing, though existing sounds pretty cool

primesuspect There are a lot of "engineer" typos in those bug fixes. I copypasta them from NVIDIA and corrected some, but whew.
