Maybe it is the economy. Maybe it is ATI. Maybe it is because NVIDIA just feels like giving back. Eh, right. We are betting it has something to do with ATI breathing down their neck (think RV770). It doesn’t matter.
What does matter is that now NVIDIA lowered the price on two of their GTX cards. The GeForce 280 GTX is now $499 and the GeForce GTX 260 is a mere $299. Think that’s a bit expensive? At least you didn’t drop $650 or $400 (respectively) last week just to be called stupid an early adopter.
I think I’ll use six bills to build a compete system instead.
