NZXT releases the Hades chassis

NZXT releases the Hades chassis

NZXT recently unveiled the new Hades chassis in the company’s lineup of premium Crafted Series computer cases.

The boldly-styled new case is an airflow monster: 200mm front intake, 200mm side intake, 120mm rear exhaust, 140mm top exhaust, and room for a second 140mm top exhaust.

In addition to the drool-worthy cooling performance, the Hades includes ample room for expansion with space for nine 5.25″ devices, or five 5.25″ and four 3.5″ devices. The chassis is also deep enough to accommodate extremely long GPUs like the 300mm ATI Radeon HD 5970.

Last on the list of keynote features, the Hades chassis features a punched motherboard tray that allows users to install and remove heatsinks without removing the motherboard. The punched tray also provides dedicated entry/exit points so users can route cables between the tray and the right side panel.

A cutout for heatsink backplates and three cable management ports.

Rounding out the features, the Hades continues to be compelling:

  • Door-mounted centigrade/Fahrenheit chassis internal temperature display;
  • An included SSD bracket to mount a pair of SSDs;
  • Bottom-mounted power supply with a removable filter;
  • A fan controller to control the speed of the chassis’ 200mm fans;
  • and pre-punched ports with gaskets in the backplate for water cooling.

While traditionalists might object to the Hades’ aggressive design, it is an exceptionally future-proof design that offers some of the best cooling and cable management in the industry.

The Hades is now shipping with an MSRP of just $89.99.

  1. MAGIC
    MAGIC Has some nice features at the sub $100 price point.
  2. BuddyJ
    BuddyJ Holy airflow Batman! This case looks like a Super Beta.
  3. Cliff_Forster
    Cliff_Forster I love the cable management options. Nice how they cut those three slots out, and the cut to get to the backside of the heatsink retaining bracket. I could do a really pretty install in that.
  4. Thrax
    Thrax This is a beautiful case. I've got it bad for the NZXT Hades.
  5. Snarkasm
    Snarkasm That's VERY nice. Yeah, it's a little aggressive for me (I outgrew front-panel doors a little while back, I think), but I really like the interior options.
  6. Zuntar
    Zuntar Nice, i do like!!
  7. Tushon
    Tushon I agree Thrax, this almost makes me want to change from my Antec 900 but it will have to wait for a new system.
  8. mertesn
    mertesn It would be nice if the option were available to purchase extra 3.5" drive mounts. I'd buy this one in a second if it would easily hold eight hard drives plus an optical drive.
  9. QuadWhore
    QuadWhore Oh boy, a new system is truly calling my name now... maybe I can build a new system for someone and give them my case... hmmm...
  10. photodude
    photodude I hear another round of upgrades =D
  11. djshowdown
    djshowdown I think I just found my case............and the necessity for new boxer shorts :P
  12. Garg
    Garg Nice. Any word on weight? I'm guessing it's not aluminum.
  13. chrisWhite
    chrisWhite It's not visually my style but that thing looks awesome, I'm not really over the moon about my current Antec (same one Linc has).
