OCZ has announced another addition to its solid state drive lineup. The Agility series drive joins the Apex and Core V2 drives targeting mainstream users, offering sizes from 30 – 120GB. The Agility touts 64MB of onboard cache with up to 230 MB/s read speeds and writes up to 135 MB/s with an 80MB/s sustained write for its larger offerings. The 30GB model is a bit slower. It does all this using the new Indilinx controller, known for its excellent performance in random writes, paired with inexpensive NAND memory. Pricing for the drive should be only slightly higher than the Apex drives which use dual JMicron controllers in a Raid 0 setup.
