OCZ launches new Colossus high-capacity SSDs

OCZColossusToday OCZ announced the availability of its new Colossus-series 3.5″ form factor solid state drives. The drives range in size from 120GB up to 1TB of MLC storage and feature dual controllers for internal Raid 0 and 128MB of cache.

Four models have been announced today:

120GB
Read: Up to 260MB/s
Write: Up to 260MB/s
Sustained Write: 140MB/s
Max IOPS: 14,280 (4k random)

250GB
Read: Up to 260MB/s
Write: Up to 260MB/s
Sustained Write: 220MB/s
Max IOPS: 16,100 (4k random)

500GB
Read: Up to 260MB/s
Write: Up to 260MB/s
Sustained Write: 220MB/s
Max IOPS: 12,300 (4k random)

1TB
Read: Up to 260MB/s
Write: Up to 260MB/s
Sustained Write: 220MB/s
Max IOPS: 13,350 (4K random)

    photodude 1TB SSD wow!!! =D if it's affordable I want one

    I'm guessing $3.50/GB pricing so the 1TB will be around $3500

    BuddyJ The 500GB is only listed on Amazon right now, and it looks to be $1,800. Double that for the 1TB one I guess?
