OCZ Technology announced yesterday that enterprise storage appliance maker WhipTail Technologies has elected to use OCZ solid state disks in its range of solid state storage appliances.

WhipTail will use OCZ solid state products in its Racerunner product line. The Racerunner storage appliance comes in 1.5TB, 3.0TB and 6.0TB flavors and, combined with custom acceleration software, is designed to accelerate database and virtualization tasks to drastically improve the responsiveness of these I/O-constrained applications.
