Following scattered reports of overheating and fires, Packard Bell has today issued a voluntary recall notice on four units in its Easynote line.
The affected models include: MX36, MX37, MX51 and MX52 units sold mainly in Europe between July and December of 2007.
Packard Bell blames the issues on internal short circuits and advises concerned customers to check their notebook at the company’s website. The company also stressed that no North American units are affected at this time.
