PCIe 2.0 lurking in the seedy fabs of Taiwan

PCIe 2.0 lurking in the seedy fabs of Taiwan

It has been portended that NVIDIA is pegged to intro its first PCIe 2.0 parts by mid-October. The P35 ‘Bearlake’ already boasts the chippery to support the new spec, and it’s doubtless that the RD790 chipset will also keep up with the joneses. Lastly, since NVIDIA seems to be leading the charge, they appear to have beta boards cooking somewhere in the back forty.

In other news, the decrepit AGP still seems alive and well. Despite being turned into a newt, it got better.
