Play Lord of the Rings War in the North for free
You can be one of the first to brave Middle-earth—at least for half an hour.

OnLive has just launched the only demo of Lord of the Rings: The War in North available anywhere—and, like all of their demos, they’re offering it free. To anyone. On any PC, Mac or even TV (requires OnLive Game System). From the press release:

Dive into the intense, visceral, satisfying combat of Snowblind Studios’ highly anticipated co-op action RPG three weeks before its 25 November release. Play as human, dwarf or elf, and defy Sauron’s forces as the hero you were born to be.

Play the first 30 minutes free now. Afterwards, you can get a full PlayPass to continue where you left off.

I won a free OnLive game pass at Expo Icrontic 2011 and have been playing through Deus Ex: Human Revolution on Onlive and have really enjoyed the service. Recently, OnLive issued a challenge to everyone that if they got 10,000 likes on Facebook in 48 hours they would offer your first game for $1. So if you act fast you can get one Full Play game for $1 (non pre-order games) and play LotR: War in the North for 30 minutes.

Tushon Thanks for the heads up. Sucks on time warner 20/2 line though :/ Where is my FiOS line?
  2. CrazyJoe
CrazyJoe That stinks, I've never had any problems with the system at all. The only issue I had was one time I walked away (for like 30 minutes) and it timed out so I had to go back to my last save.

CrazyJoe Just as an FYI the Press Release said that the game will be released on November 25, but it released yesterday, November 1. You can still play your first 30 minutes free as you can for most OnLive Games.
