Prime’s gaming roundup – day the World (of Warcraft) stood still edition

Keebler hates roundups. That’s okay. If he gives me my own gaming channel, we won’t have this argument anymore. Wrath of the Lich King is out. Traffic stopped, people called police, gamers were lined up for blocks. Nothing new to report.

Microsoft has been talking up their new Games for Windows Live service. It has gone through some interface updates and feature enhancements. 1up.com thinks they are gunning for Valve with their awesome and firmly entrenched Steam platform. Let’s hope not. I don’t want TWO services running for this stuff.
They still make PS2 games? 1up has a cool review of the new strategy RPG Eternal Poison. I think the review itself isn’t as interesting as the comments that follow. Take the thing in as a whole – review + comments.
Blizzard claims that they’re not “milking” the Starcraft franchise with episodic SC2 games. If it’s not about money, then give us the other two products for free, Blizzard. Valve did it with TF2. Make free expansions to the main story. Then we won’t call it “milking”.
GamerDNA has a Wrath of the Lich King contest where you can win Razer products. WoW players should check it out.
If you buy the WiiSpeak accessory, don’t bother reselling it.
There’s been a lot of talk today about Robert Jordan’s Wheel of Time stories. Movies? Games? A studio has formed around the game idea.

I'm tired of this crap...just release the game and the people that want it will buy it regardless of how much it costs, how many pieces it comes in, and how many times they have to buy it to have all the features.
